This continuation of the clay series shifts focus from form to structure — observing how the material behaves once it has been cut, stacked, pressed, or left to dry. The photographs document the internal patterns and layered densities of clay, revealing the tension between its softness and its weight. Lighting is used to register small surface shifts: cracks, compression marks, and subtle moisture gradients that signal the material’s changing state. The work treats each piece of clay less as an object and more as a record of process, making visible the physical evidence normally hidden beneath glazing or firing.
